The most interesting addition is of course quarterback Malik Zaire. Guess he decided when he met the four offensive tackles during junior weekend. Those will be the dudes that will join and help protect him in a couple of years. Of course those OT’s if not careful at the dinner table will turn into guards and centers. Considering these guys are just starting to finish up their junior years and are 6’ 7” and around 280, my that will be a huge line for the Irish.
7 recruits, that probably is about 25% of what Coach Brian Kelly wants to bring in for 2013. The numbers and position requirements got a little out of whack with late defections and withdrawals here in 2012. It will be interesting to see if the “Right Kind of Guys” can step up and fill those cornerback positions and add depth to the defensive backfield. Heaven knows we do not need any more blunders that doomed us in the Michigan game last year.We cannot remember the last time we heard the tom-toms beating so loud from the media over the Notre Dame quarterback depth chart. Expect them to keep banging after spring ball and into the summer. The only telltale sign will be the transfer of one of the four candidates.

Oh man, I'm getting excited for fall. 158 days and counting!

Yeah, me too. I get all spun up with the recruiting hype, spring practice and the long wait for the first game.
Unfortunately reality sets in. Someone fumbles on the two yard line. No one is trained to catch a punt. Five turnovers against a crappy team. Oh well.
Oh, should I mention the game last year against the Team up North?
I still see every game as winnable and expect to be three sheets to the wind by the time the refs run off the field to their locker room.
Oh, going to Dublin. So as much as I complain, I have hope and faith as well.

Holtz would say that if you can't decide on the quarterback, then you didn't have a quarterback. Hope there's some exception, and we'll see how it plays out.
Ireland! If you ever had it in mind to visit there 'someday', then it's as good a time as any. I've thought about it but all I can foresee is lousy weather and getting our bum kicked. What time would it be over there when they kick off? Pretty darn early I would think.

I think Lou would be tickled to have Kelly’s problem this spring. Suspect Kelly knows already who will start and probably most of the Team does as well.
If Tommy Rees starts in Dublin, my wife and I are going to storm the field. Look for me holding a bottle of Guinness.
I think the game is 8:00 a.m. EST.
Yeah we would not be going if not for the game. Bunch of $$ to see a fooball game and some sheep eating green grass.
