The last time a Notre Dame player graced the cover of SI was
August 2006 when Brady Quinn,
Tom Zbikowski and Travis Thomas proclaimed the Irish were
back after a 9-3 season. In 2006 the
Irish went 10-3, but of course fell apart the next three years under Charlie
Weis.
