Yeah, but he has HIS quarterback now.
Everett Golson. Sophomore who redshirted last year on the scout team. Same guy who had issues adjusting to academics and college football as a freshman. Same guy who could become the next “Golden Boy at Notre Dame.”
Got some time? Want to learn about your new QB for the Irish? Grab a beer. Oops make that two and click on some tape.
Here is his high school high-light reel. Yep, he got sacked. Yes, he threw picks. Also made some bad decisions on scrambles. However you don’t get to see any of those mistakes.

Here is all we have from the 2012 Blue Gold Game. (#5)
Here is his interview after the announcement that he would start against Navy. Please excuse the dumb questions from the Irish Beat Reporters. Man what a bunch of morons. They also refuse to ask their questions into provided mikes thus you have to guess what they are trying to ask.
How many quarterbacks have you watched that do not utilize the seams on the football? Well tune in Saturday, September 1, at 9:00 am and watch one.

So everything I've heard so far is that this kid is the real deal. What are your thoughts, Subway? I like having a mobile QB. I mean, he's no Denard Robinson but watching Dayne and Tommy plod their way down the field the last two years getting outrun by O Linemen was getting pretty old. I look forward to seeing what this kid can do.
I drink the kool-aid like everyone else. No one wants another year of Turnover Tommy. I’m in a wait and see mode. Golson will make mistakes, hopefully not as costly as the ones made by Crist and Rees last year. The upside is the offensive line is 300+, there is a bevy of great running backs, and the passing game appears to be dings and dunks to running backs, two tight ends, and some very fast WR’s. The deep passing threat remains to be seen; of course last year we had Floyd to make that possible. If teams decide to drop eight, ND can run. If teams load the box, ND can ding and dunk in the flats. It should make some great matchups.
I expect Eifert to be double teamed every play. I expect teams to run away from Te’o.
