Ex-Irish Coach Holtz On The Hot Seat

No, not Lou, Skippy.  (Skip Holtz was wide receivers coach and Special Teams coach at ND under his father.)

Here at SAS we will do just about anything to get you to open up our posts.  If you would like to read more of our shenanigans and opinions on Notre Dame and College Football in general, bookmark us: http://subwayalumnistation.blogspot.com

Skip Holtz in trouble?  Hey, while at USF he has beaten Miami AND Notre Dame.

The problem is Skip hasn’t beaten anyone else.  He has a losing record of 15-16 in this his third year.

After beating Notre Dame or rather watching Notre Dame beat itself last year, the Bulls ended up 5-7.

Skip has lost his last 10 of 11 Big East games and is only 4-12 in the conference.  He had a four game losing streak last year and is suffering through another one this year even as I type.

Things don’t get any easier with Skip and the Bulls headed to take on #18 Louisville this Saturday.
Skip needs to hold on for another year when Pittsburgh and Syracuse head to the ACC.  Gee what the worry?  USF officials this past summer concerned that Skip was getting offer(s) to coach elsewhere EXTENDED his contract.  Who the heck was looking at a 5-7 coach?  That sounds like the same mistake ND made with Charlie Weis that cost them a fortune.

Skip and Lou During Happier Times

Yes, Skip played on special teams and was a wide receiver for the Irish.
