The Green Line to South Bend - The Big Sixteen!? Oh No Here We Go Again!
A place to express your thoughts on Notre Dame Spring Football Practice.
Each week a new posting will take the place of the previous one.
You have to go half-way down the article to read Tony Barnhart’s point made in the Heading. Start here.
The 16 team Big Ten (11) theory is scaring Jack Swarbrick and the Trustees at Notre Dame. The domino effect of teams moving and jumping conferences in the Big East could spell it’s doom. Notre Dame’s independence is at stake because where will Irish basketball and the other team sports compete if the Big East becomes a small Catholic Conference? I think that’s what Jack was trying to say if you can read between his double-speak.
Not sure anybody wants a Notre Dame entry into the Big Sixteen. Probably the most compelling argument came from Scott Engler over at NDNation.
Here’s hoping the Big Ten (11) or Big Sixteen doesn’t paint Notre Dame into a corner.
