Irish Play Wrist Bands and Pads

Coach Brian Kelly had quarterback Everett Golson and his skill players wear play wrist bands for the MSU game.  It was a one game experiment to help build confidence and get the play call into the offense in a timely manner.  It started out slow with a called timeout due to a mix up in reading the bands.  However they ended up working well enough for an Irish 20-3 victory.  Kelly did not continue the wrist band use for Michigan; it is suspected he considers it a crutch and a hindrance to learning.

Here’s a nice catch by T.J. Jones in the Miami rout.

Whoa!  What’s he got on his belt?  Looks like a play list.  Never seen one adapted quite that way.
