Reckers and Notre Dame

The best kept Notre Dame secret for a great meal is Reckers.  It’s behind the South Dining Hall.  Not many visitors know about it.  Most gyrate to the LaFortune Student Center where you get to fight crowds over nasty fast food operations and small bathrooms.
Reckers has wood fired pizza and individually made great cheese hamburgers. Service is slow because everything is made one at a time.  But what the heck you got time to kill before the pep rally or game anyway.

If you walk out of the Bookstore and head toward main campus, kind of keep angling to your left and Reckers is about three building rows on the left.  You can spot the outdoor eating area and tables.
